Random memories – NYC 1
The Premiership feels like its all over the place at the moment.
Villa flying high and smashing Liverpool reminded me of Reading beating Liverpool 3 – 1 December 2007.
I was in New York City with some friends, we had a couple of Liverpool fans in the group so they wanted to watch the game.
With the time difference it meant kick off was 10am local time.
We headed to the Red Lion, Bleecker Street.
As you can imagine it was pretty quiet at 10am so we sat at the bar and watched the footy by ourselves.
About 20 mins into the game two blokes walked in and sat at the bar with us.

Didnt really pay any attention until one of them asked how Liverpool were playing.
It was Alan Hansen and his son, they had come out to do some Christmas shopping, decided to catch the game early doors 1st.
The teams went in at halftime 1 – 1.
Alan said Liverpool will smash them in the 2nd half.
We all carried on drinking at the bar and having a bit of banter watching the final 45.
Fulltime Reading 3 – Liverpool 1
Alan and his son finished their beers and went shopping.
I dont seem to have the photos anymore, must be on Facebook somewhere!
